Uncompromising Quality Commitment
Global Fabricators recognizes the fact that reputations are won or lost on quality. Great care is taken to ensure that customer gets what they expect and pay for, that the job is done right, and delivered on time.
The Quality Control Program ensures that anything that affects quality of items is accomplished in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. All items are furnished in accordance with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC): “Specifications for Design” and the AISC “Code of Standard Practice”. Materials are furnished as designated in contract drawings and specifications in conformity with the standards set forth by the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) and/or other cited material reference standards. Welding procedure will be in accordance with the contract documents and the American Welding Society D1.1, D1.5, or other cited codes as applicable.
The quest for quality is always assured. Quality is a journey, not a destination. Through or annual process audits, management reviews and external system audits performed by auditors from Quality Management Systems operating on behalf of AISC, Global Fabricators maintains an unmatched Quality Management System which remains in integral part of our services.
Pride In Knowledge, Pride In Craftsmanship!
Global Fabricators has earned numerous certifications both as a company and as individuals and strives to enhance professional standing in the industry.
AISC Certified since 1999
For more than 90 years, AISC has set the standard for quality and project execution guidelines by which performance in the steel industry is measured. An AISC Certified company has been placed through a rigorous examination to confirm that the personnel, organization, experience, procedures, knowledge, equipment, capability, and commitment to produce output of the required quality. Certified companies have quality systems in place that fully meet the requirements of the applicable AISC standard.
AISC now has partnered with SSPC to provide mutually recognized certification of industrial coating operations. Global Fabricators is pleased to hold certifications for all AISC structural standards including:
- Building Structures
- Major Bridge
- SSPC QP-3 Coatings
Both the internal and external reviews improve production practices and enhance quality at a facility. AISC uses personnel experienced in fabrication and trained as auditors, which enables a “hands-on” approach to the certification process. Through record review, personnel interviews, and the observance of practices and equipment in the shop, QMC auditors can confidently confirm that AISC standards are in place. AISC Certified companies are reviewed annually to ensure continued commitment to all quality systems.
In addition, Global Fabricators holds municipal certifications including LA City and City of Richmond. Past certifications include Golden Gate Bridge Authority, San Bernardino County, CA, and Clark County, NV. Global Fabricators maintains the ability and willingness to establish “Certified Fabricator” status with any CBO that utilizes Section 170 of the UBC or CBC, which facilitates the waiver of Special Inspection requirements.
Global Fabricator’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance Team holds the following certifications:
- Three AWS Certified Welding Inspectors, CWI’s
- Two ASNT Level II Certified Non-destructive Technicians for UT, PT, and MT
- One NACE Level III Certified Coating Inspector
- One NACE Level I Associate Coating Inspector
